Copying

I want to share with you something that was so cute. At least I think it's cute :) We got back from the park and I wanted to make supper as it has to be in the oven for 1 hour and it gets so hot in here by supper time, I thought I would make it in the morning and then reheat it later. Anyway, while I was doing that, Kaitlyn decided to bang on the new garbage cans that we got, and I look over and I see William start banging on the book that was in front of him on the floor. He had like the biggest smile ever. He was so happy to be doing something that his big sister was doing. It was soooo cute. :) I wish I had a picture of it, maybe he'll do it again and then I can capture it with a camera.

Swinging

After all the times being at the park this summer, today is the first day William was in the swing. He has so much fun in the swing at home, he even rocks it himself, I thought he probably would like the ones at the park, and he sure did.

At The Park

Here we are at the park. While laundry was in the dryer, I thought we would get out to the park :) Both kids sure enjoyed it.

Growing, Growing, Growing

We had William weighed last week, he now weighs 20lbs 2oz and he is 28" Kaitlyn was 20lbs at 1 year old, but she was 29" at that point. It's so funny to see how different they are in size. He is just getting so big. They sure grow up too fast.

New Pictures

As you probably noticed I have added some new pictures. I thought it was time to add some more. Not terribly much is new, although I did get to talk to my parents tonight. They are camping right now and have been gone maybe about 2 weeks, so it was sooooo nice to hear from them. They are having lots of fun. My sisters got to join them last week. I am hoping that next year we'll be able to go out there in the summer. I also want to be able to go camping with Greg and the kids, I think I would rather wait until next year when William is a bit older. I know other people to do it and wow, am truly amazed that they are able to do that. I don't think I could handle it :) I would constantly worry if he would continue to sleep through the night and eating sand and what not. I am such a worrier. Anyway, I should get going, Kaitlyn keeps coming out of bed and it's starting to get difficult to type here, so off I go.

Where Am I Off To?

William has taken to sliding on the floor, by pushing with his arms backwards. I don't understand this kid :) I'm sure he'll be actually crawling in no time.

Computer Troubles

We have our air conditioners out so we have the windows open and fans blowing to help with the stuffiness of our place, and yesterday, Greg and I were sitting on the couch watching T.V. when all of a sudden we smelled smoke, we thought maybe the neighbors were smoking something other than cigarettes, and we look over to the window and see smoke billowing, my thought was wow, they sure are smoking lots to come into our place :) But by then, Greg was over at the computer ripping the wires out of the computer. It was our computer smoking, boy I tell you, that was quite scary. Can you imagine if we were not here right beside it, because it happened extremely fast. One second, Greg said the computer shut off and went to reboot, and the next you see smoke billowing out. Greg figured out that it was the power supply, which we have had for about 4/5 years, so it's done its job. So we went out and got a new power supply so now we can use the computer. I hope nothing else happens to it, especially when Greg is not home.

Starting tomorrow morning we are having work done on our balcony, which is a good thing, it'll make it look so much nicer, BUT.... we have to have everything cleared off the balcony which I have done already, AND we have to take out both air conditioners for 3-4 weeks. Mind you, we can put them back in after they are done for the day and for the weekends. We are done with that one heat wave, but I am just waiting for another one. I know, I am spoiled, I will probably bring out the tea towels and soak them in icy cold water to put around my neck, and kids necks, like I did before we got air conditioners. I know we'll manage, but I am not looking forward to it. I feel for those in our building who had to have no air conditioners when it was super hot out.

Good Times

We went over to my mother-in-laws place yesterday for her Birthday dinner. We had a lovely BBQ, it was quite good. I made everything naturally and Greg did the grilling. Kaitlyn was just so excited, especially to have cake as she doesn't get to have too much because she becomes someone else. She is bouncing off the walls. She wanted to have some balloons and Greg had the great idea of making a water balloon and wanted to show Kaitlyn how to toss one up in the air and catch it :) Of course when he threw it up the second time it went SPLASH!!! all over himself. Hehehehe, it was quite funny to see.
I have added a few other links, I hope these people don't mind. I have been meaning to add them for a while and I thought it was time :) If you don't want it there, just let me know and I'll remove it. I should get going as Kaitlyn will be up shortly I am sure. Oh, I got to sleep in until 7:15am this morning, same as yesterday, it is sooooo nice. I better not get too used to it as they'll both change their routines as they often do.

Another Heat Wave

Yesterday and today was super duper hot out. I think it was about 35 feeling like 45. Poor Greg has to go to work in it. At least he is off for the next couple days and then hopefully it will cool down a bit. Not much new has happend in the last while. I'm still plugging away at packing and trying to keep things organized and tidy which is hard to do with two kids and boxes all over the place. I know it's still 2 months away today, but I want to be mostly packed up by the end of August/middle of September. My Father-In-Law is coming out for a visit September 9-13 so I for sure want to be mostly done by then. It'll be nice to see him again. It's been about 4 months since we were out West last. I know Kaitlyn is sure excited to see him. William doesn't really know yet :) hehehe. Good news too, Greg is going to put the software for the camera on tomorrow so there will be lots of pictures that I'll post. Anyway, I'm going to read for a short while before heading to bed.
