I Hate To Move It Move It....

Well we have moved. Greg had 4 guys and one of their girlfriends help us move. Everything went pretty smoothly. We now just have boxes all over the place, but we are slowly getting things put together. We had to go out and get blinds because of course the ones we had didn't fit these ones. We also had to get a pantry cupboard because I have too much pots/pans/baking stuff to fit into our cupboards and we only have one small linen closet, but this place is definetly much nicer than the appartment. Much, much more room. The kids are enjoying it. Well William doesn't really care all that much :) but Kaitlyn sure likes the place. William was up 2 times the first night and last night was up once. I'm hoping that tonight he will sleep through. We also don't have a phone until Wednesday :( It was supposed to be set up last Thursday, but there was a problem, no dial tone so we are having someone come out on Wednesday. I can't wait until then. For now we are using our cell phone for local calls, but due to long distance charges we are unable to call long distance. I should get going, almost bedtime. I just wanted to take some time to let you all know that we are alive and all moved into our new place. I don't think it'll take too long to get things back to normal. I hope not, as we are having Thanksgiving dinner at our place :) I at least want the kitchen together by then. More updates to come.

Here are some pictures from the last week or so. Time has been going very quickly and has been super busy. We are moving day after tomorrow and there is much to be done. Most of it can't be done until Wed/Thurs. At least we get the key tomorrow so we can move some things already. (Like the crib) I am planning to have William's room set up so that while I am there he has a place all set up to sleep. We have a cradle he is using right now. (Greg's Opa made it, but we have put it on the ground as he likes to bounce his feet and he was making it move too much, now it is much more solid) Anyway, gotta go, too much to do.

Happy Anniversary Honey!!!! I can't believe it's been 7 years. Time sure does fly by. We have been through lots and I can't imagine going through it with anyone but you. I grow more in love with you every day. It's hard to believe too that we started dating over 10 years ago. :)Love you sooooo much. Happy Anniversary!

Family

This past week, we had Greg's dad out for a visit. The kids liked seeing Opa. We also took a drive to see Greg's Oma (his dad's mom) She lives in a nursing home a few hours from here, so we don't get over to see her as much as we would like. I don't like to put pictures of me, but here is one of all of us. Greg's Oma is in the wheelchair, then his dad is beside me and in front is Greg, Kaitlyn and William. It was a nice day for a drive too. It was a tight squeeze in our car. Greg and his dad sat up front and I had to squeeze in between a car seat and a booster seat. All in all, it was a good trip. We also visited a couple of Greg's family that also lives there. It was sure nice to see everyone, although we missed a few of them. We'll have to see them next time we take a drive out there. Other than that, there is not much new. We're still packing away. There is only 13 days left to moving day. We are moving on September 28. Not that much time left. I feel as if there is still lots to do, but there is a lot that is last minute and it's driving me crazy. I like to be all prepared and do everything early. Oh, well, what can you do? I should get going. Kids in bed and it is time to relax.

Back To School

Kaitlyn went back to school yesterday. She was quite nervous and was clinging to my arm. I was not pleased with how the system worked yesterday. I hope it's not always like that. When we got there, it was very unorganized. People were all over and no one knew where to go. We finally got directed to the right place. Then I seen this one little boy, I felt sooo bad for him. He's in grade 1, I believe and he was walking around a little bit and he looked like he was going to cry, he looked like he was lost so I told the lady that was directing people that he looked a little lost as she didn't see him and then he soon stopped crying and she took him to his class. His class had gone into the school already. So then we went to pick her up. One would think that you would pick them up in the same place we dropped them off, as no one told us anything, so that is what we did and there were other parents waiting there as well. The bell rang and no one came out. Hmmm... maybe running a bit late? So we went inside the school and no one was in her classroom. Hmmmm..... what's going on? Where is our daughter? So then this one lady seen us, and said that general pickup was by the front doors. So ok, we went to the front doors and no Kaitlyn. I'm starting to panic, but my wonderful husband is sooo calm in these types of situations. Of course he was worried and wanted to find her. So we went out to the bus area and a teacher directed us to Kaitlyn's teacher and found out that Kaitlyn is on a bus. WHAT!!!! Thankfully the buses hadn't left yet. We got Kaitlyn off the bus. What happend was that when we move October 1, that's when Kaitlyn will start taking the bus. The teacher had it written down that she was to take the bus. So we informed her that it was a mistake, that Kaitlyn is NOT to get on the bus until October. At least I know that the bus system seems to work fairly well. The teachers take the kids out to the buses and make sure that they get on the right bus. That was a load off my mind. Although I am unsure of how it works for getting to school. I think I'll have to call to find out. I am also planning to watch the buses when I drop her off in the morning and just see how it works. Yesterday was quite the day. She was excited to go back today so that was a good sign. She seems to like her teacher and she has made a friend. A friend who is a boy. She said that she kissed him AHHH!!! She's only 5, there should be a few more years before that starts. We did have to tell her that she is NOT to be kissing boys. Anyway, I should get going, I have been up since 5:30am as I could not fall back to sleep this morning and I am tired. I still have to get Kaitlyn's lunch put together and I want time to be able to read before heading off to bed. I hope everyone has a great week and I'll try to post more often. But I can't gurantee as it is getting closer to moving day.

Kaitlyn's Last Swimming Lesson

These are some of the pictures from Kaitlyn's last swimming lesson, at least until October. We were allowed to sit right by the pool for today to take pictures and videos, so Kaitlyn was quite distracted by having William right there to watch. She kept leaving her class to come over to where we were sitting and doing little dances and of course being a ham for the camera :) For those of you who know me or remember me, you'll know that she doesn't get that from me :) Anyway, lot to do, my father-in-law is coming to visit next Saturday and I wanted to get this house in some sort of order by then. I also need to be packing a bit more again, as I have stopped for a while. So Adios for now.
