Christmas 2006

It was so hard to choose which pictures to put on here. The kids had a wonderful time. On Christmas morning the kids woke up at 7:30am, nice, and then they opened their stockings and they were so good to wait until Greg's Mom and John and Grandma got here at 10am and then they opened their presents. We had a nice turkey lunch/dinner. We were tired by the end of the day :) Well off to relax with my hubby, once he gets home, he went to the library for me, sooo nice of him :) Anyway, talk to you later. I'll post some more pictures later.

Sweet 6

Well Kaitlyn turned 6 this past Wednesday. Time as sure flown by. It was just like yesterday when she was born. I woke up around 6am and Greg was getting ready to go to work and I was having some back pain. I told him this might be the day and so off to work he went. As the morning went by, I was telling myself that it's not it. (I don't think I was totally ready) My back pain was getting worse and it was not fun. My mother-in-law called and I told her my back was hurting but was not ready to go to the hospital, she told me she had to run into town but will call when she got back. So when she got back (I think around 4pmish) she called and asked how I was, by then I couldn't stand it no more and I said yes, please take me in. So she came to pick me up and we got to the hospital. I think when the examined me I was about 5cm. My mother-in-law called Greg at work and left a message that I was in the hospital having a baby. (he was to get off at 5, this was 4:30) and 5:30 came and went with no Greg. My mother-in-law was getting worried, so she called John and said if Greg went there, let him know. (our mail often got mailed to their place so he usually stopped there first and he did) So he raced back to town to the hospital and got there around 6pm. I was already into the pushing stages. At 6:55pm our little girl came into this world and our lives have been changed ever since. Nothing can explain the feelings you have, but I love her sooooo much. She may cause us pain and may not listen all the time, but I love her anyway. She can be such a sweet girl. So loving and caring and wants to be with us alllll the time :) I try to treasure such things as I know one day soon enough she won't want to be with us at all. Anyway, just wanted to share :) I will post pictures soon.

Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow

Well we officially got our first snow fall of the winter. I thank you to my family for sending it over this way. Note the sarcasm :) Kaitlyn sure loved waking up and finding that we have no driveway (Greg had to work last night so there was no car there) and she was so excited to wear snow pants to school, and yes our schools don't shut down quite as easily as out in B.C :) Life just keeps on going on. Greg said he had a hard time getting home this morning as our car is not great in the snow. We were planning to put winter tires on it, but haven't got to it, so today Greg went out and got some new ones, so we are now $600 poorer, better to be safe though. I guess I am housebound for a while. It does feel nice to be all cozy and warm in the house and watching the pretty snow flakes come down. I especially love the trees with all the snow on it. Well enough about the snow, I should get going. Oh and Happy Birthday Katie (yesterday) Hope you had a good day.
